DITL: A Typical Rest Day At Camp

 Hey Y'all!

What does a typical rest day at camp look like?

This...

I'm working on blogs, which I (Amanda) do pretty much exclusively, as well as our Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok. Chris is working on editing tomorrows video (Franklin, TN). He does a good 98% of the film and editing for YouTube, as well as the neglected Instagram. I feel like you can tell who's edited the video when watching. Chris takes far more care in general, and with adding music, and transitions. On the rare occasion I do a video, it's typically only a few clips edited together and posted.

So while we are resting, a good portion of the day is spent editing for Chris, and catching up on blogging, and social media for me.

I'll also research where we want to go/what we want to do next. And figure out all the planning and logistics for that... currently I'm unsure what's next, but we want to redo our build soon, and I think Chris is thinking sooner rather than later. He hasn't committed to anything, but I'm pretty positive we're headed to Indiana again so we have space to tear it up.  If we don't go there I'm cool with exploring more of KY, but we shall discuss this sometime today, so I can make plans.

*This blog brought up the discussion, and Indiana bound we are, we've got until a few days before my next appointment, June 26th to get the rebuild done. I think I'm going to plan another spot between here and there and see if I can come up with a feasible route that avoids Indianapolis.*

We spent the morning, lazing around thinking it was going to rain- it did sprinkle for a bit, but nothing major.

We ate breakfast, of banana and a protein bar. (It was forecasted, and really looked like rain.) And we both played on our phones for awhile.

Then we decided it probably wasn't going to rain, at least not how they were calling for, and we moved outside.

We had a snack, and started working on blogs/videos.

A typical off/rest day also involves chores and while I took the trash to the dumpster Chris vacuumed the rugs. We don't quite have a load of laundry, but I'm thinking of doing it anyhow, because all our (long) pants are dirty, and it's been rather cool. We probably should have kept more pants when we flipped over to summer wardrobe.

Once all that's done, we'll take a break from sitting and go for a walk. After that I'll probably read, and Chris will either read, or play around on his phone or laptop.

Then we'll cook dinner- I'm thinking sloppy joe's tonight... or breakfast for dinner. Either one, we have everything we need for both.

We'll probably take another walk, though this campground doesn't have any trails or nature space.

We'll hang out, then when it gets dark go in and watch some TV and go to bed.

Tomorrow we're planning on going to The Battle of Richmond stuff, and expect that to take most of the day, so we'll prep the camera and other stuff tonight as well.

And that's a typical rest day for us!

Any questions? Leave them below.

Thanks,
The Outlands
