We’re still rolling along with Outland Adventures , but, we’re parked in one place for a bit — tucked into the tree-lined corners of Northwest Indiana , working at a campground that’s become our temporary home (and paycheck). Workamping might sound like a weird buzzword, but for us, it’s how we keep the wheels turning — literally.  Hey Y'all, In this blog we're sharing a somewhat typical day off for us. It consists of relaxing, getting chores done, and really mostly laundry. Join us: Some days out here are full of adventure. Others? They’re the slow, satisfying kind that remind us why we chose this life in the first place. Today was one of those days. The Morning Routine Like most days, we started by checking in on social media—sipping coffee, reading comments, and seeing what the rest of the world is up to before diving into our own. Then it was time for breakfast and vitamins (because yes, we’re that couple now). Tackling the Day’s Big Task: Laundry As we mentioned in the video, laundry is pretty much an all-day affair out here. Between walking back and forth to the line and waiting between cycles, it’s a slow burn kind of chore. But we don’t mind—it gives us plenty of time to enjoy the outdoors.  Hey Y'all, We are just about exactly three months, or half way, in to our first workamp position. What are our thoughts? What are the positives and negatives to this specific position? We'll let you know! We decided not to do a video this time, but we have plenty of content all across social media: linktr.ee/outlandadventures We share lots of shorter clips about our day, scenery, etc. on TikTok. Most of our longer videos can be found on YouTube. A little bit of everything goes on our Facebook page.  Sometimes there is overlapping content. Occasionally one platform (usually TikTok) will get the content first, if we're cross posting. I think there is enough different content across all our platforms to follow us everywhere, but you can judge for yourself, and pick the platform(s) that you prefer.  Hey Y'all, This blog, and corresponding video, have been quite the work in progress. As I've mentioned before the internet here is very very slow most of the time, so uploading takes a full day. We've also been a bit more busy this past week, the campground owners took a short vacation, so we had more responsibilities and less down time. Then it's been 4th of July prep.  Everything is going extremely well. We've finally finished the video: Uploading is taking forever! I will add the link once it's done, but didn't want to delay the blog any further. In the process of getting things ready to go we: Removed the rear table (reused most of the wood for stability) Relocated and repurposed the center table, creating a kitchen space, TV (laptop) stand, and a desk area Cleaned the walls and floors (a few times) Took down, cleaned, and put back the curtains Added curtains to the main door Reused 99% of the things we already had, and moved them from the old van, Brun...

 Hey Y'all! So what have we done this month? Not much... adventure wise.  We did enjoy the scenic route back to NW Indiana.  We drove through: 2 National Forests, 3 states, over one massive river, through multiple mountains, a tunnel or 2, past countless fields, and wind turbines... We took some time out to swim in a little town with multiple animal sculptures. No pictures, because they were on the side of a highway. Very neat to see though. ( Haubstadt IN ) We met the nicest people at a random BP in a tiny little Indiana town.  (Benton County) We drove through Terre Haute (How do you say that?!?). That was pretty easy, it's big, but not a huge city. Since we've got back we've just been chilling at the campground when we're not working. We spent a day on the beach/in the water- and both got quite the sunburn. We've watched some stunning sunsets, storms, and viewed the stars.  Hey Y'all! What are our plans for my birthday?  Nothing much. Chris is working, I read electric meters this morning. Later we have a meeting about hours. I already received my gifts from my Mom & Sister.  Mom got me: a few pair of earrings, a Diamond Painting kit, a pair of PJS, and a box set of the Nightmare on Elm Street films. (Awesome!) From my Sister & fam: A Winnie the Pooh backpack, a beautiful blush, and a Christopher Robin book. (Woohoo!) Chris and I already decided the bus, and all the parts & things to get it going was going to be both of our birthdays, anniversary, & Christmas this year. We'll probably cook dinner outside, hang out for a bit, then retreat indoors and watch some YouTube before going to bed. Have a great Thursday, The Outlands

  Hey Y'all, So, we're one month into this gig.... What are our thoughts? When we first arrived, we were given our spot and got settled in. Picnic table and fire ring were delivered by Chris & Dave (one of the owners) a few days later. The entrance to the park is very pretty! As is the park as a whole. The bathhouse is very nice, and always clean. The pond/beach area is looking very nice! We wish there was laundry on site, especially since the nearest laundromat is kinda crappy, and takes forever to dry clothes. The sunsets here? Beautiful! One of the jobs Chris has done? Mulching this area, it didn't photo real well but there a hill there, and some plants/flowers. Another Chris job? Sanding & painting all the picnic tables. Told ya these sunsets were stunning! Chris has been doing the above jobs, weed killing, leaf burning, tree trimming, wood splitting, groundskeeping, and other manual labor.  Hey Y'all, So, what have we been doing? Some of it we've shared here in the blog (Like our first Loves RV stay) some we've shared on our social media accounts: linktr.ee/outlandadventures We started out March in NE Ohio, Chris' best friend (more like family really, and that's how we generally refer to them) had just had surgery on his ankle. We visited with them, attended a basketball game, a dance competition, several parks, played bingo, went to Quality Inn with an entire indoor play area with pools, hot tub, mini golf, arcade, and various play areas. I'm sure there was more, but those were the highlights! After we left them we spent a few days in Findley State Park, before heading further west, we spent a night in Delphos, OH... Pretty area, but the weather didn't really cooperate enough to enjoy outdoor recreation. That brings us to April...
