Spring Campsite Essentials

Image
Spring Campsite Essentials ⛺🌿 Tuesday, April 9 Spring camping is a little chaotic—and that’s exactly why we love it. One minute you’re soaking up sunshine in a t-shirt, and the next you’re digging out hoodies, blankets, and wondering if that cloud rolling in is “just a sprinkle” or a full-on downpour. Spring doesn’t play by the rules, especially when you’re living the RV life. But with the right setup, it can be one of the coziest, most rewarding seasons to camp. Here’s what we always keep on hand to make those unpredictable spring nights feel less like survival mode and more like a vibe. 🌙 Cozy Comes First When the sun drops, so does the temperature—fast. Even after a warm day, nights can get downright cold. We swear by: Extra blankets (the fluffier, the better) Warm hoodies and thick socks A heated blanket or electric throw (if you’ve got power) Hot water bottles for a low-tech, no-power option There’s nothing better than bundling up, listening to the quiet hum of the campgro...

Our Recent Brand Collaborations!

Image
Hey Y'all! Brand collaborations really make us feel like we're doing something right... like we've "made" it on social media .   That said we vow to only take sponsors/collabs that:  1) Make sense for us (and you). For example we recently got an offer for a milk frother, but we don't drink our coffee that way, so it didn't make sense for us. We also have limited room, so we can't say yes to just anything. 2) Are a product we have used/will use regularly. All the items we'll mention today we are currently using. We like all of them! 3) We can be honest about. Integrity above all else. We will let you know if something doesn't work, isn't as great as other products in the category, or isn't as expected in general. In no particular order: 1) Viking Bags- https://www.vikingbags.com/ collections/motorcycle- backpacks   We're working on getting a promo code for y'all! We were sent the bag to test out, in exchange for mentioning it in...

Three Things We're Loving Right Now!

Image
Hey Y'all! Ever have a product you just love? Here are our current favorites! * None of these are affiliate links, or sponsored in any way. They're just products we've purchased and really enjoy! 1) Ozark Trail Folding Camp Kitchen Table - Step up your camping culinary setup on your next outdoor adventure with the Ozark Trail Folding Camp Kitchen Table. This camp kitchen has tons of functionality and provides the campsite chef with a work surface, plenty of storage space and much more. It features an aluminum slat roll top table, a side stove shelf with an adjustable stove platform and a removable lantern holder. As for storage, it is designed with a mesh shelf and a hanging organizer rack with hooks to keep your important items nearby. It is constructed with a compact aluminum frame with matte finish for durability and has a weight capacity of 66 pounds. It also measures 41” x 18” x 31.5” making it perfectly sized without taking up too much space. When it’s time to go, th...

Van Life Favorites

Image
Hey Y'all, Hey Y'all! This one is gadget #vanlife specific, but the items from that  top 5 blog  are definitely some great products we love too! TOP 3! 1)  Collapsible Tub : We picked ours up at Aldi! Such a great find. At the time we purchased locally it was just under $10 USD. We use it for doing dishes, or washing fruits/veggies, or anything else you'd use a sink for. 2)  Folding Table/Tray : We found two of these, sitting in the floor of the furniture aisle of our local Walmart & knew we should grab them up for under $20 USD each. We have used them for working on the laptop, coloring/art, eating, outdoors to hold the radio or phones & drinks. Such a useful purchase! 3)  Lights! We upgraded our lights to these, and love them! We like the brightness adjuster and the color selector. Much better and brighter than what we were using previously. We don't ever use the music feature, or the app. The remote is more than sufficient for our needs. ...

Van Life: Amazon Edition- Recent Purchases

Image
Hey Y'all, While staying pretty stationary here in NE Tennessee we took the opportunity to order some things for Brunilda (the van) we've been needing. Not all these items are from Amazon , but most are... 1) Our new mattress - We purchased ours and it arrived just in time for Christmas, when we swapped it out. A new mattress was much needed, and it's made a huge difference. We opted for 8in as it's what was in here before. It's thick and fluffy, and oh so comfortable. All while still allowing plenty of head room for sitting up on Chris' side of the bed. (Though the new 8in is a bit more firm than the old mattress was.) 2) New Tire Cover - As we mentioned before, our last one was just thin, cheap, and plain black. This will be the new one, sorry for such a small picture- it hasn't arrived yet. We're excited to see our logo on the rear! 3) Window Tint - We went with the 50%. It'll be on the front three, and all the rear door windows. The blackout vin...

Gadget Update, and David Crockett Birthplace State Park

Image
Hey Y'all! I fell a bit behind last week, so let's catch up... 16th Tue-   Update on Our Favorite Gadgets Hey Y'all!! We're sure this list will change the more/longer we're out there, and we'll update you as things change, but for now here's our Top 5! *None of these are affiliate links. In some instances it's just the closet to what we have that we could find, but I still wanted to include a link. 1)  Under Bed Storage - (This is not the exact one we have but was the closest we could find in an online search. I believe ours are from T.J. Maxx or a similar store. They are black, and Velcro closed, the top is not clear.) We've had them for years as under bed storage for larger sweaters, etc. Now, we're each using one for all our clothing and it fits under the front of the bed perfectly.  2)  Blackstone 22in - We got extremely lucky and came across one on clearance at our local Walmart for $55 USD. Our only thought as to why is was clearanced out ...

Current Van Storage Solutions

Image
Hey Y'all! We've done several blogs and videos in the past year going over the layout, and our plans, and the processes to get it where it is now. Have I mentioned how much better the bed is now?! (Thanks again Billy!) We realized in going over some of those blogs and videos, we haven't really talked in depth about our storage solutions- so here's that blog, finally! First off we're still using two of  these . We've just changed it up a bit and now store our clothes and bathroom stuff in one, with each of us having our own drawer for clothing, and the bathroom stuff we use most often as well as medication in the top drawer. (This is the one closest to the door.) In the other we have other items we need regularly, but not daily. We like them because they're cheap, easy to clean, not much weight, and fairly durable. I had them in my craft room previously. To adapt them for van life we removed the wheels and secured the drawers from opening with Velcro closure...
