 Hey Y'all, In this blog we're sharing a somewhat typical day off for us. It consists of relaxing, getting chores done, and really mostly laundry. Join us: Some days out here are full of adventure. Others? They’re the slow, satisfying kind that remind us why we chose this life in the first place. Today was one of those days. The Morning Routine Like most days, we started by checking in on social media—sipping coffee, reading comments, and seeing what the rest of the world is up to before diving into our own. Then it was time for breakfast and vitamins (because yes, we’re that couple now). Tackling the Day’s Big Task: Laundry As we mentioned in the video, laundry is pretty much an all-day affair out here. Between walking back and forth to the line and waiting between cycles, it’s a slow burn kind of chore. But we don’t mind—it gives us plenty of time to enjoy the outdoors.  Hey Y'all, Well we just got here , so there's not a ton of information yet. The season starts April 25th, but they've said it doesn't really pick up until the end of May... Our first impressions? The owners are very nice, and we toured the campground with them yesterday afternoon, chatted a bit, and then settled in our spot. After that we walked the grounds ourselves to get a better feel of the place. It's an older park, the sites are quite large, there's a pond, playgrounds, bath house, etc. We wish there was laundry on site, but the laundromat is only about 10min away, as well as savalot, dollar tree, and a few other little places. Anything big is about 30min in any direction. Last night was windy!! It's also very very quiet since the season doesn't open until next weekend. The view of the stars last night was amazing, but it was oh so windy, so we didn't stay out long. We're in for another windy day today and then supposedly it lightens up si...

 Hey Y'all! Recently we enjoyed a week at Levi Jackson . Here's our opinion, and some more information about this park in Laurel County KY. While at Levi Jackson Park we spent a day exploring the campground (we had the nicest "neighbors" here), while being followed by a beautiful black cat.  The following days we hiked several trails, and explored the park. Even though it's the off season we enjoyed seeing the museum property and mill. We saw quite a few deer, lots of wild turkeys, and tons of woodpeckers.  We then had 2 days of snow. We spent that time utilizing the laundry facilities, catching up on blogging, reading, and other indoor tasks. After the snow cleared we checked out the local library- which had a Muppets exhibit! We also checked out the local flea market, and the downtown area, as well as a few additional parks. We spent another day hiking some trails, and exploring all the playgrounds throughout the park before it was time to move on. A bit of hist...

 Hey Y'all! Last Year when we started living full time in Brunilda, our 1991 Chevy G20 Conversion Van, we came up with a bucket list for the year. We never shared it with anyone, so we're doing that now. We liked the idea, and it gave us a bit of a travel goal for the year, so we decided to do it again this year. Without further ado here's what we accomplished from last year: We had a lot on our list, and we're grateful to have accomplished most of it! Another state- South Carolina 5 State Parks; Warriors Path, Cedars of Lebanon, Harrison Bay, David Crockett Birthplace, all in TN.  Hey Y'all! Welcome to winter! So, because of doctor's appointments, holiday's, etc. we've been sticking around NE Tennessee this winter. It's our first true winter in the van, since we didn't go Full Time until mid February 2024.  What are our thoughts, tips, and tricks? Glad ya asked! Weather? As you'll see in the pictures the weather can change a lot in the winter, especially here in NE Tennessee. We've had day's in the mid 50s and slightly above, and days it didn't really reach much above 20 (degrees F) for the day. How do we fill our days? We've adapted pretty quickly, and learned we really like winter nature watching, and hiking. Neither of us are going to shout a love for winter from the mountain tops, but there is a quiet beauty to it all that we have grown to love this past month or so. Some days though, we just really don't want to get out in it... On those days we watch the nature unfold from the warmth and comfort of the van. ...
