Spring Plans!
Hey Y'all!
We've been having pretty good weather, and it's feeling like Spring! (No more snow, yay!)
So what are our plans?
Starting some time this week or next we'll leave NE OH and work our way toward western Indiana, and our seasonal position, which we start mid April. We'll be there, with a few returns to TN for doctors appointments in May, and August, until October.
Along the way we'll take the slow (and really best) route, mostly along HWY 30. If there's anything we want to stop and see we have plenty of time. Any suggestions? Let us know!
While there, on our days off we plan to explore the area, adventure to Indiana Dunes National Park, and travel to IL, the state line is only about 30mi from the campground.
So what/where is our positions?
We are Work Kampers. My (Amanda) position is mostly office, check-ins, and running the store. Chris will be mostly small maintenance jobs, and attending to the burn pile.
We'll spend the season at:

Come to Peaceful Pioneer!
Spend your days hiking through the woods on our trails, swimming or fishing in the pond. Make s'more's around the campfire while enjoying conversation with your family and friends.
Our campsites are the largest in northwest Indiana, with enough space between sites for relaxation and privacy. Enjoy peace and quiet without distractions; just nature and you in a beautiful, natural setting.
We have two playgrounds. One is located in the back of the campground, the other is conveniently located next to our Recreation Hall/Bath House, offering children a great way to have some old-fashioned fun. We have a variety of site types ranging from primitive tent sites to pull through full hook up sites. There are shower rooms for your comfort and convenience, too.
Are you looking for a venue for your family reunion or church picnic? Come check out our Recreation Hall! It has a full kitchen and plenty of space for dining and relaxing together. Whether you’re planning a family reunion, retreat or just some time to get away from it all, Pioneer Family Campground welcomes you. Our peaceful setting and Christian Family values will make you feel at home.
It'll be our first workamp position, so we're a bit anxious not really knowing what to expect. We've talked with the owners via txt, email, and zoom and they seem great, the campground seems like a place we'd book. It has pretty good amenities and is on the smaller side size wise. So we're excited too!
Thanks,
The Outlands
