Travel Questions...

Image
Hey Y'all! We figured it'd be fun to sit down for a few minutes and answer some travel questions as a kind of get to know us blog. We'll answer as many as we can today, and revisit the questionnaire again in the future. Feel free to add your questions in the comments below and we'll add them to the list next time!  The questions can be found here: https://englishpost.org/travel-conversation-questions/ Here we go! What’s your best vacation memory? C- Disney World, any tri...

More About Our Van...

Hey Y'all! These pics I finally got off the hubby's phone. They were all taken the morning after we brought her home, so no work or cleaning has been done. Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMW6jV4KlF8 Pics: Exterior- Interior- We haven't done much more since that first blog- So far we've: Purchased the van Got New Tires Oil Changed Car Wash Checked over everything We did have an appointment at a local-ish shop to get the work done, but that fell through. We had an 8am appointment, so we dropped the van off overnight, which they said was great. Around 11am Chris tried to call- and it automatically went to a voicemail is full message (no ringing or anything). Around 11:30, and noon he tried again, same thing. So at 1pm we decided we'd have to just drive back over there.... They hadn't even touched it yet, let alone started work. The excuse was overnight drops are "Whenever we can fit them in." We said then what's the appointment for, and they ...

Why'd We Choose A Conversion Van?

Image
Hey Y'all! So, why did we choose a conversion van? After our brief trip to Indiana , we realized a minivan was not going to work. This was already a probability in our minds, but when the offer was made we had to at least check it out, and try some planning in person. While there we just couldn't come up with a build (layout) either of us were comfortable with, being a full time couple (soon). I think for a solo traveler minivans are great. We knew long ago (2004) we liked this size van, and we had an 1988 Ford Econoline 150. We used it to move to Tennessee after our car (Chevy Caviler) was totaled, and drove it for about a year afterwards. Being from Ohio, and us being young and broke the van had too many issues for us to afford to keep.  We also knew we didn't want any towable, a standard camper/RV, or a truck. With the feeling that towable can't get into the smaller spaces, or go as remotely as we think we'd like to be able to. We also felt most RVs are too big,...
