Top 3: What Makes Outland Adventures Different...

What makes OA Different? How do we stand out?

1) Outland Adventures is different because we share our real life, in real time (within days vs weeks, or months). Like currently we're parked waiting on the home sale money, then we'll order parts* and be on the road full time. (Alabama bound!)

Spark Plugs, and Wires

Shocks

Tires 

Oil Change

Brakes

Belt (We will find the squeak!)

Intermediate Steering Shaft


There's not a lot going on right now, other than prep and re-rearranging the van, so we haven't been as active on social media. We will share the parts upgrade process as soon as parts start arriving!

2) We don't edit our photos, and do minimal (if any) editing to our videos. We do this for two reasons. A) It takes less time/resources, so we can get things up faster. B) We like to keep it real. This is what X location really looks like, this is how long XYZ took, etc. Real life is beautiful. We also feel like our followers/viewers/family/friends can feel more like they are there with us by seeing the actual location in real time.

3) Normal is a relative term, but for lack of a better word, we're "normal" people. Just an average lower middle class couple. We're traveling in a self no build build that's way older (and cheaper) than the $100,000+ Sprinter vans. However, we're not completely "Cheap RV Living" either. We fall somewhere in the middle. Which we feel makes us stand out, because there aren't many like us being represented on social media.

Places We've Been/Things We've Done- March & April

 Hey Y'all, So, what have we been doing? Some of it we've shared here in the blog (Like our first Loves RV stay) some we've shared on our social media accounts: linktr.ee/outlandadventures We started out March in NE Ohio, Chris' best friend (more like family really, and that's how we generally refer to them) had just had surgery on his ankle. We visited with them, attended a basketball game, a dance competition, several parks, played bingo, went to Quality Inn with an entire indoor play area with pools, hot tub, mini golf, arcade, and various play areas. I'm sure there was more, but those were the highlights! After we left them we spent a few days in Findley State Park, before heading further west, we spent a night in Delphos, OH... Pretty area, but the weather didn't really cooperate enough to enjoy outdoor recreation. That brings us to April... Our Favorite Places Thus Far (Updated) TOP 5

 Hey Y'all! This is a bit of a filler blog, because while we've been places we've liked nothing so far has beat these five. Honorable mention to the latest museums, we really enjoyed them all. Both Jonesborough, and Greeneville TN are awesome (Lost State of Franklin) and we highly recommend them too.   We've been fortunate to have seen quite a few sights these past few months, here's our top 5!  There were so many cool things, and places coming up with just five favorites was harder than expected. Working from 5, and in order we'll start with... 5)  Athens Veterans Museum - Welcome to the Alabama Veterans Museum and Archives. Located in Athens Alabama, we are proud to be a part of our military history with a large exhibit center, guided tours provided by local veterans, gift shop, meeting facilities, monthly coffee call and much more . Our Favorite Things/Places/Experiences This Past Month

 Hey Y'all! We were fortunate to do/see a lot of different places this past month. We traveled from NE Ohio, through OH and KY, where we spent a day in Corbin, and then onto NE Tennessee, we took a few days in Bristol, VA, and spent a week in the great outdoors at the quiet, serene Mammoth Ridge near Greeneville. In-between trips in TN we stayed at my mom's and did the whole doctors appointments and scans thing, again. PLACE- While in Ohio we really had a blast, and there's so much to share there it'll be a couple of videos, very soon. Our favorites were the haunted attractions, and getting to cross another National Park off our list with Cuyahoga Valley National Park . Brandywine Falls History runs deep in the valley, with over 12,000 years of human occupation. From the unwritten stories of pre-contact peoples to the environmental disasters and comebacks of modern times, humans have left an impact on the valley.
