I, Amanda, like to keep a planner, but haven't even opened it since February. It was past time to do a little catching up.
We got these planners a few years ago in a Michaels Grab Bag, all of them were Recollections brand. (Chris also has a planner, but I didn't get it from him, I'm 99.9% sure he hasn't touched it anyhow...)
We also recently decided to try out a Budget Planner, more on that below.
Things that have changed since that blog? I've really grown to like the layout. There's a lot of space for each days activities to be written out.
My (main) Planner:
I'm doing pretty well on my goals for the year, some are completed..
I just recently filled out this bucket list section, all are goals I'd like to achieve this year, except the first one. It's more a 5 year goal.
I've already ticked off a few!
Note to myself, a tiny bit of catching up/getting up to date.
This section is a bit impossible to fill out, every day is so different, especially the afternoons. Moving forward I'll skip it, like I do the daily goal tracker in the rear of each month.
I also still don't use the calendar format pages for anything. To do so seems redundant.
Purple is Craftin' Wife's Creations, Green is Outland Adventures, and Pink is everything else.
Figuring out the blog, and social media schedule:
For now that catches us up in my planner.
We've recently implemented the Budget Planner, but I think after flipping through it, and filling it in some for this blog, it's not quite what we're needing.
As I was flipping through it was evident this planner is more focused on earning/saving than budgeting. I modified the pages to fit my need as best I could.
After I filled this in we got the notice that our van insurance has went from $30 to $55 monthly, we decided to go yearly and save a bit of money.
My phone had one more month before it was eligible to switch to the yearly plan, so that's what that notation means.
I've shared enough, it's really none of your business what's in our Money Market account.
This is the page I feel is most relevant to us, and I could just as easily do this in any notebook, so we'll see if we opt to change this out and just do a budget notebook in the future.
Do you use a planner? Which one(s)? Let me know in the comments below!
What’s Coming This September on Outland Adventures Hey friends, Chris & Amanda here. and we're changing things up again. Let us know your thoughts on this format in the comments below! We’ve got a fun month ahead, and we thought it would be helpful (and exciting!) to share our September blog lineup with you. That way, you’ll know exactly what’s coming and can follow along as we dig into the real, quirky, sometimes glamorous, and sometimes not so glamorous sides of RV life. Here’s what you can look forward to this September: π September Blog Schedule Tuesday, Sept 2 → Behind the Scroll: The Real Life of Social Media on the Road We’ll pull back the curtain on what it really takes to keep Outland Adventures’ social channels going strong while living full-time on the road. Spoiler: it’s not all perfectly posed pictures! Thursday, Sept 4 → Campground Amenities Are Cool, But A Good Shower Is Everything Let’s talk about the true luxury of RV life — a big, hot, cle...
π️ The Campground Next Door: Shoutout to the Great Neighbors We’ve Met on the Road Hey there, fellow travelers and tent-side philosophers! It’s Amanda & Chris from Outland Adventures , and today we’re getting a little sentimental (don’t worry, we’ll blame the campfire smoke). Because while RV life is full of gorgeous views and weird roadside attractions, one of the best parts of this lifestyle is something that rarely gets the spotlight: π«Ά Really great campground neighbors. Not the kind that blast music at 2 a.m. or let their dog poop on your rug mat (you know who you are) — we’re talking about the kind, helpful, hilarious folks who make this lifestyle feel like a real community. The ones who wave in the morning, chat by the fire, and lend you a wrench before you even realize you need one. π§° The Guy With Every Tool Ever Made There’s always one . He rolls in, sets up camp in eight minutes flat, and somehow has a spare part for your rig stashed under his stairs. ...
π§ Where to Next? We Don’t Know (and That’s the Best Part) Hey again, from somewhere slightly east of the middle of nowhere. It’s Chris & Amanda from Outland Adventures , and if you ask us where we’re headed next, we’ll smile and shrug and say: “Not sure yet.” And here’s the thing — we mean that in the best possible way. When we first hit the road in Brunilda, our previous van, we thought we’d have a color-coded map and a six-month plan. Instead, we’ve learned that the best parts of this lifestyle come when you leave space for the unknown. π Plans? We Have Loose Ideas. Right now, we’ve wrapped up a workamping gig in Northwest Indiana. The campground’s been good to us — solid people, weird weather, and more than a few stories. But as it all winds down, the inevitable question pops up: “So… where are you headed next?” Honestly? We don’t know. We’ve got a short list of maybes. A few friends in a couple states. A festival we might hit if we feel like it. But no reser...
