Van Life: Amazon Edition- Recent Purchases

 Hey Y'all,


While staying pretty stationary here in NE Tennessee we took the opportunity to order some things for Brunilda (the van) we've been needing. Not all these items are from Amazon, but most are...


1) Our new mattress-



We purchased ours and it arrived just in time for Christmas, when we swapped it out. A new mattress was much needed, and it's made a huge difference. We opted for 8in as it's what was in here before. It's thick and fluffy, and oh so comfortable. All while still allowing plenty of head room for sitting up on Chris' side of the bed. (Though the new 8in is a bit more firm than the old mattress was.)


2) New Tire Cover-

As we mentioned before, our last one was just thin, cheap, and plain black. This will be the new one, sorry for such a small picture- it hasn't arrived yet. We're excited to see our logo on the rear!


3) Window Tint-


We went with the 50%. It'll be on the front three, and all the rear door windows. The blackout vinyl is going on all the side rear windows.


4) Double Sided HD Tape-

We're always needing a strong double sided tape for something, and struggled to find a heavy duty one that wasn't thick. This should work for all the projects we have in mind.


5) Wireless On Ear Headphones-


These are for Amanda. She likes to watch TV/YouTube later than Chris and listens to music while writing the blogs. She can't stand the in ear type of headphones.


6) State Map Decal-


It took us awhile to find one we liked, at a price we were willing to pay. While we think the photo ones are nice, we thought being exposed to the elements 24/7 may make them fade too quickly. We liked the simplicity of this one.


7) Binoculars-


We liked that these were slimmer than some of the other brands. We can't wait to get to use them more often- bird watching, star gazing, and checking out the camera (phone) options.


8) Weather Seals-


All the weather seals need redone. She's an oldie. We've ordered enough in all the types to re do all the seals, all the way around.

Places We've Been/Things We've Done- March & April

 Hey Y'all, So, what have we been doing? Some of it we've shared here in the blog (Like our first Loves RV stay) some we've shared on our social media accounts: linktr.ee/outlandadventures We started out March in NE Ohio, Chris' best friend (more like family really, and that's how we generally refer to them) had just had surgery on his ankle. We visited with them, attended a basketball game, a dance competition, several parks, played bingo, went to Quality Inn with an entire indoor play area with pools, hot tub, mini golf, arcade, and various play areas. I'm sure there was more, but those were the highlights! After we left them we spent a few days in Findley State Park, before heading further west, we spent a night in Delphos, OH... Pretty area, but the weather didn't really cooperate enough to enjoy outdoor recreation. That brings us to April... Our Favorite Places Thus Far (Updated) TOP 5

 Hey Y'all! This is a bit of a filler blog, because while we've been places we've liked nothing so far has beat these five. Honorable mention to the latest museums, we really enjoyed them all. Both Jonesborough, and Greeneville TN are awesome (Lost State of Franklin) and we highly recommend them too.   We've been fortunate to have seen quite a few sights these past few months, here's our top 5!  There were so many cool things, and places coming up with just five favorites was harder than expected. Our Favorite Things/Places/Experiences This Past Month

 Hey Y'all! We were fortunate to do/see a lot of different places this past month. We traveled from NE Ohio, through OH and KY, where we spent a day in Corbin, and then onto NE Tennessee, we took a few days in Bristol, VA, and spent a week in the great outdoors at the quiet, serene Mammoth Ridge near Greeneville. In-between trips in TN we stayed at my mom's and did the whole doctors appointments and scans thing, again. PLACE- While in Ohio we really had a blast, and there's so much to share there it'll be a couple of videos, very soon. Our favorites were the haunted attractions, and getting to cross another National Park off our list with Cuyahoga Valley National Park . Brandywine Falls History runs deep in the valley, with over 12,000 years of human occupation. From the unwritten stories of pre-contact peoples to the environmental disasters and comebacks of modern times, humans have left an impact on the valley.
