🌄 Welcome to Outland Adventures: Life on the Road with Chris, Amanda, and Wildebeest

Hey there, fellow travelers, dreamers, and DIY lovers! 

We’re Chris and Amanda, the duo behind Outland Adventures — a rolling lifestyle of creativity, curiosity, and a whole lot of campfire coffee.

We’ve traded traditional living for the open road, traveling full-time in our one-of-a-kind rig: Wildebeest, a 1990 Ford E350 Shuttle Bus conversion. Once a mobile command unit for county EMS, she’s now a quirky, dependable home packed with personality (and a couple of propane stoves that keep us well-fed and caffeinated).

🚐 Meet Wildebeest

Before joining our crew, Wildebeest helped save lives — serving as a county EMS mobile command unit. Today, she’s on a new mission: helping us explore backroads, small towns, and the weirdest roadside attractions we can find.

We converted her into a fully functional tiny home with everything we need (and nothing we don’t). No black tanks to worry about, just smart systems, cozy touches, and enough space for the two of us to work, relax, and travel with purpose.

🧔🏻‍♂️ Chris: The Driver, Developer, and Storyteller

Chris is our full-time driver and the editor of our YouTube channel, documenting everything from travel vlogs to “what just broke this week?” segments. He also writes and codes indie games under ShadowWolf Studios, blending creativity with tech in ways that make our mobile lifestyle possible.

He’s also the default camp cook, whipping up meals on our propane stove that somehow turn out great even when we’re parked in the middle of nowhere. Give him caffeine, a Wi-Fi signal, and a steering wheel — and he’s happy.

💄 Amanda: The Crafty Beauty Behind the Brand

Amanda runs the Outland Adventures blog and manages our daily social media presence, sharing our life on the road, connecting with fellow travelers, and documenting our favorite small-town stops and offbeat finds.

She also runs her own brand, Craftin’ Wife’s Creations, which is where her passion for crafts, beauty, and creative living shines. But here on Outland Adventures, she keeps it real, funny, and a little magical — whether she’s capturing content or scoping out the next mural-filled alleyway or retro roadside diner.

🏕 What Outland Adventures Is All About

We’re not influencers. We’re not hundred thousand+ dollar rig #vanlife. We’re not glamorous — unless you count Amanda’s colored mascara in the middle of a cornfield glamorous. We’re just two people chasing freedom, fun, and all the weird and wonderful places between here and wherever’s next.

On Outland Adventures, we share:

Here are some things that just make sense in this nomadic way of living: Essential Gear: Portable power: Solar panels, inverters, and batteries are must-haves for powering your appliances and devices. Places We've Been/Things We've Done- March & April

 Hey Y'all, So, what have we been doing? Some of it we've shared here in the blog (Like our first Loves RV stay) some we've shared on our social media accounts: linktr.ee/outlandadventures We started out March in NE Ohio, Chris' best friend (more like family really, and that's how we generally refer to them) had just had surgery on his ankle. We visited with them, attended a basketball game, a dance competition, several parks, played bingo, went to Quality Inn with an entire indoor play area with pools, hot tub, mini golf, arcade, and various play areas. I'm sure there was more, but those were the highlights! After we left them we spent a few days in Findley State Park, before heading further west, we spent a night in Delphos, OH... Pretty area, but the weather didn't really cooperate enough to enjoy outdoor recreation. That brings us to April...
