Hey friends! Amanda & Chris here from Outland Adventures, dreaming a little today about the ultimate campground — the one that checks every box and makes life on the road feel like pure magic.

We’ve stayed at a lot of places, from rustic dirt lots to sprawling resorts, and we’ve learned exactly what makes a campground feel like home. So here’s our dream list — the things that turn a stay from “fine” into “never want to leave.”

⚡ Lightning-Fast Wi-Fi

Let’s be real — good Wi-Fi is life. Whether we’re uploading videos, doing quick research, or streaming our favorite shows after a long day, a stable and speedy connection changes everything.

No more fighting for a single bar or sitting in the parking lot trying to catch a signal. Our dream spot has blazing-fast internet that keeps us connected, no matter where we are in the campground.

🚿 Large, Clean, and Hot Showers

A great shower is non-negotiable.

Imagine stepping into a spacious stall with water that’s perfectly hot, strong pressure, and a spotless floor. Hooks for your towel and a bench for your shoes. No scary noises or surprise cold blasts.

This is the kind of luxury that makes camping feel like a spa day — every single time.

🌅 Spectacular Sunsets

Whether it’s a golden sky over a lake, a burst of pink behind the mountains, or the soft glow filtering through the trees — the perfect campground serves up sunsets that stop you mid-breath.

Our dream campground has plenty of spots to watch the day fade — fire pits, benches, swings, or even just wide open fields where you can lie back and soak it all in.

🧺 Cheap, Convenient Laundry On Site

Living on the road means laundry day is a big deal.

We’re dreaming of washers and dryers that don’t break down halfway, don’t eat your quarters, and — bonus — have a cozy waiting area with good lighting, comfy seating, and maybe even a little coffee station.

Clean clothes without the hassle? Yes, please.

🌲 A Whole Trail System to Explore

We love walking, hiking, and just wandering in nature — so a campground with a network of well-marked trails is a must.

Trails that take you through woods, along streams, past hidden spots only locals know. Places to bring the dog (or just yourself) for a peaceful morning or an afternoon adventure.

🎯 Bonus Dream Features We Can’t Resist

  • Friendly, helpful staff who remember your name

  • Quiet, shaded campsites with level ground and good neighbors

  • A well-stocked camp store with essentials (and some fun surprises)

  • Firewood that’s actually dry

  • Pet-friendly amenities (because maybe one day, we’ll have a pup!)

  • Community events or movie nights that bring campers together

Campground Neighbors (The Good Ones)

  🏕️ The Campground Next Door: Shoutout to the Great Neighbors We’ve Met on the Road Hey there, fellow travelers and tent-side philosophers! It’s Amanda & Chris from Outland Adventures , and today we’re getting a little sentimental (don’t worry, we’ll blame the campfire smoke). Because while RV life is full of gorgeous views and weird roadside attractions, one of the best parts of this lifestyle is something that rarely gets the spotlight: 🫶 Really great campground neighbors. Not the kind that blast music at 2 a.m. or let their dog poop on your rug mat (you know who you are) — we’re talking about the kind, helpful, hilarious folks who make this lifestyle feel like a real community. Places We've Been/Things We've Done- March & April

 Hey Y'all, So, what have we been doing? Some of it we've shared here in the blog (Like our first Loves RV stay) some we've shared on our social media accounts: linktr.ee/outlandadventures We started out March in NE Ohio, Chris' best friend (more like family really, and that's how we generally refer to them) had just had surgery on his ankle. We visited with them, attended a basketball game, a dance competition, several parks, played bingo, went to Quality Inn with an entire indoor play area with pools, hot tub, mini golf, arcade, and various play areas. I'm sure there was more, but those were the highlights! After we left them we spent a few days in Findley State Park, before heading further west, we spent a night in Delphos, OH... Pretty area, but the weather didn't really cooperate enough to enjoy outdoor recreation. That brings us to April... From there we traveled onward, crossed the state line, and spent a week in Decatur, Indiana.  While there we enjo...
