RV Life & Gratitude: The Things We’re Thankful For This Year

🦃 RV Life & Gratitude: The Things We’re Thankful For This Year

November always makes us a little nostalgic. Maybe it’s the scent of woodsmoke clinging to our jackets, or the quiet moments around a campfire when the night air turns crisp and our mugs steam with hot cocoa. Whatever it is, this season has a way of reminding us just how much we have to be grateful for — both the big moments and the small ones that slip by if we’re not paying attention.

Life on the road isn’t always picture-perfect (we’re looking at you, mystery leaks and stubborn GPS signals), but when we pause to look back on the past year, there’s so much that makes our hearts full.

Here’s what tops our gratitude list this year:

🚐 Our Home on Wheels

Wildebeest may not be fancy, but she’s ours — creaks, quirks, and all. She’s carried us down mountain roads, across dusty plains, and into small towns we never would’ve found otherwise. Every dent tells a story. Every upgrade is a labor of love.

🌅 The View Outside Our Door

One of the best parts of RV life is waking up somewhere new. Some mornings it’s a sunrise over misty lakes; other days it’s the sound of cornfields whispering in the wind. The world feels endlessly wide when your backyard keeps changing.

🛠 Campground Work (and the People Who Make It Worthwhile)

Workamping has introduced us to some of the kindest, quirkiest, most unforgettable folks. Whether it’s trading stories with fellow travelers, laughing over late-night campfire marshmallows, or helping someone back into their site (with more hand gestures than words), we’re grateful for the community that comes with this lifestyle.

🧭 The Detours

Sometimes the GPS decides to go rogue — but honestly, that’s when the best stories happen. We’ve stumbled upon hidden diners, unexpected festivals, and once… a giant rubber duck in the middle of nowhere. Those offbeat surprises remind us why we travel in the first place.

☕ Quiet Mornings & Cozy Evenings

There’s something magical about slow mornings in the RV: the hum of the kettle, the glow of sunlight through the curtains, the peace before the world wakes up. And at night? Just us, a flickering fire, and the stars — our favorite kind of gratitude journal.

As we roll into the holiday season, we’re thankful for the adventures we’ve had, the friends we’ve made, and every lesson this wild, unpredictable journey has taught us.

So here’s to gratitude — the kind that sneaks up on you between campsite chores, road miles, and unexpected sunsets.

Happy Thanksgiving, from our little home on wheels to yours. 🧡
