 Hey Y'all! Not much been happening here, other than packing & decluttering the house.  We had another yard sale last weekend, and it did okay Thurs, and better Friday. Saturday was beautiful & there was a lot going on (event wise) locally. So after 2+ hours of no people, we shut it down and went out in search of a single burner unit (to use to heat water, or a pot of xyz). No luck while thrifting, but we did get some more totes, and a few skirts my sister needed for work, and got really lucky on a fridge cooler for $7! (It's both standard plug and cigarette lighter.) Then we did more packing Monday. I wish I found it fun, it'd be easier, lol. We haven't made any travel plans. However we did brainstorm, and played around outside in the van and came up with a layout we think will work nicely.  We also finally posted our FIRST TRIP IN THE VAN video: It is more about the location, and what to do at Mammoth Ridge than about the van, we'll get to that in an upc...

 Hey Y'all! First off Thursday is our Ask US Anything blog, so be sure to leave your questions below! As you may have read in last weeks blog we decided last minute to take the maiden voyage in our van. It was a very chill campground close (ish) to home, and more about relaxing, and seeing how the van was working out than any real travel plan. We did have a very good time though, and really liked the location. We'll post a video about our experience ASAP. I will say the van is great! Mammoth Ridge RV Park & Campground. Any other travel plans? Nothing solid, but definitely some more prep/adjustment camping trip sooner than later. Just have to hammer out the where, then the when.  Beyond that another Indiana trip is coming soon, sometime this fall. Then our "nephew" in Ohio has decided we're coming there to go Trick or Treating, so Ohio in October. I don't think we'll get to Alabama this year, but we'll see...  Hey Y'all! We decided to finally take a maiden voyage trip in our van, so there will be no blog tomorrow, sorry. Tuesday's blog will be posted on time. We're staying pretty locally here: https://mammothridgervpark.com/ It's not anywhere we've stayed before, but it has decent reviews and was google recommended when doing a search of "camping near me".    Hey Y'all! Let's start it off with some photos, towards the middle of this blog there's a video comparing last week to yesterday.  All these photos are from today: Living Room- Chris' Office- Craft Room/My Office- This process is a lot of work. It'll look better, then worse, so many times over the course of getting it done. I'd say we're about 40% there if I'm being optimistic. I'd like to be further but we have a lot of crap. Also, taking time out to take pics to post items for sale doesn't seem like it takes up much time but it does. So much time... We decided to use totes, since what we are keeping will be in a storage unit long term. To us it just seemed like the plastic bins were easier to stack, somewhat weather resistant, and less likely to be gotten into by bugs vs cardboard boxes.  Hey Y'all! We're working on our van layout currently.  We know we want: No build! Bed (obviously) Food and "kitchen" storage Canopy, Table, & Chairs (outdoor) Cooler Tool and seldom used item storage Clothes storage Art Supplies TV/Movies/Games Room for a few books each Shower and toilet storage Solar & Generator (200W) Enjoy my super rough draft: A bit more to scale, but this website was really for building offices: If you know of anything better let me know in the comments below! Black squares are seats, the rectangle is the bed. The "revolving doors" represent storage of some kind. Lastly the ovals represent the upper storage.  In our van under the bed is accessible from the rear only, as the front is closed off for the rear a/c vents, even though the unit itself doesn't take up much space back there.  This is just a rough draft, but so far this layout looks like it's what will work best for us, for now. This pre-travel season is a lot of work!  There's so much to get done in the house- packing, cleaning, deciding what to get rid of and how, etc. Then there's the van, and coming up with a layout we like, getting it road trip ready, and deciding how much/what to take.
